OC model A Club Breakfast Pictures
Well, I'll start off the flood of pictures from the pancake breakfast. Since I had someone with me I didn't take too many this year. Seems like the big talk was the creek flowing right through the middle of the event.

Re: OC model A Club Breakfast Pictures
WE DID IT.
The entire last week we worried about access to Hart Park. It was closed several times to creekbed access and we didn't know if we would be putting on the breakfast until we arrived at 6AM this morning and were alllowed to enter and start setting up with our first creek side parking. Considering the conditions it was an outstanding 50th anniversary pancake breakfast. The creek, as reported, was 10 ft wide and at least 12 inches deep. I might have estimated 18 inches deep. Our members were supurb in surmounting the probems as were the attendees. We worked around the stream "Fording" and fed the multitudes, all the while hawking raffle tickets. There couldn't have been better cooperation of workers and guests. The food, I was especially good this year, the raffle unequaled in quality and the generousity of ticket buyers made for a memorable and successful 50th gala. We sincerely thank all of you that braved the weather and cooperated as we struggled for perfection under adversity. The Model A participation was down by 50% at 157, the street rod and antique cars were about 50 and the breakfasts served were down about 20% at 1000. The regular raffle, money raffle and the new premium raffle were a 100% success. I didn't hear a single complaint and we owe it all to you brave souls the came out. put up with the stream and supported our efforts. Thank You all and we hope to see you and the ones that stayed home, at Hart Park again next year. Richard Parrish Anaheim CA |

Re: OC model A Club Breakfast Pictures
The traffic/parking team headed by Diana Stewart registered 152 Model A's and 80 other assorted antiques and classic cars.
The flood control water release from Villa Park dam required a unique parking arrangement as we are used to parking cars right across the channel. Other than a little light drizzle twice during the morning the weather was acceptable and in fact was beautiful as the event came to a close. Thanks to all who came out and double thanks to all the Orange County MAFC members who worked throughout the mornng to make the event a great success. |

What a great looking event. Weather looked somewhat cold but I like how you guys make the best of things. Here in New Zealand, especially Sth Island, people always moan { English blood ?] about the weather if it is not a perfectly sunny & windless day. Most have never experienced a winter in the northern hemisphere.

Wish I still lived in California. It's frustrating to see the "left" side of the country enjoying their cars while the rest of us are freezing!!!! Congrats on a great event!

Re: OC model A Club Breakfast Pictures
even though weather wasn't the best I had such a good time. I drove down there from my home town of sunland by taking surface streets (55 miles each way) and really enjoyed the drive. it took me 2 hours to get there and 3 hours to get home. being around that many model A's at one time just makes you feel lucky and blessed that you are part of the model A family. Hats off to all that helped put this meet together and congrats to all the winners of the car show and raffle prizes. can't wait till next year
