Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like the 30-31 because they have a bigger radiator. I like the looks of the 28-29 a little better but the 30-31 get my vote.

I like the looks of our 29 Sport Coupe, have had other Model A's including a 31 Sport Coupe but I think the 29 looks the best.
That's why restaurants have menu's. Enjoy you favorites. |

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
'31
My first was a '31 AA 280A (when I was 14) My second was a '31 fordor (when I was 17) Then after 50 years without one, My third (and current) is a '31 CCPU Just something about the '31 that appeals to me.

1930. I like the cowl/A pillar transition of the '30-'31 but like the '30 rad shell better than the '31.

I like the more antique look of the 28-29, although I have had them all.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
If you have two(2) or more Model A's .... not a bad idea to have both same year.... for interchangeable wheels, tires, tubes, bumpers, head light bars, and other parts.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
They're all great, but to choose one year I would say 1931. I like the lines a little better on the 30-31. Also, I like the 19" wheels.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I had an early '30 5 Window & an early '29 5 Window, it's FUN to study the DIFFERENCES!

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like the 30/31 style the best. They look really classy to me. The 28/29 is a little to Model Tish for me. But I love the Opera coupe with its oval window.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
Like the song says, little deuce coupe :-)
Couldn't swing a 32, settled for a late 31 tudor, closest I could get to the deuce coupe! After work on, driving the 31, would not will not sell. "A's" are so much fun !

This is exactly what I think. I have a 31 jalopy and am looking for something nicer for the family, just can't decide what year sedan I want.

I like the 1931 rad shell best. This may explain why I have 3 of them. . Jeff

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I lust after the Victoria and A400 but they are way beyond my means. I have a '31 40-B Dlx Roadster, so I guess that the '30/'31 would be considered my favorite. However, I like the T look of the '28/'29's. Each to his own........just drive 'em and enjoy! Russ

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like 1928 because I have a restored 28 tudor and I used to have a 28 Packard
443 super 8 convertible coupe that I spent a lot of money restoring and only used a few times before I moved to Northern Calif. I now have a large garage and 6 model As of various years and body styles. I still miss that Packard. |

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
1929 Town sedan, Briggs
It's is the only, even thought it was a rust bucket and I parted it out , A I have owned. With the enclosed gas tank it has the body style of the 30-31 but as several said below, still antique in style.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like the 30's the best. I like the long swopping front fenders on the 30 and 31's but I still like the 30's the best. I have 5 at the present and 3 are 30 models.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like my 29's because they look like an "old" car. The 30-31 are to "uptownish" for me.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like all 4 years of the Model "A"s. MY favorite: the 1931, just to me it looks sporty. I have a 28, two 31's and working on a 30 Station Wagon.
Enjoy and drive your "A"

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I don't have one but like the ones made in 1927 as they are a totally different car. A friend had one and even some of the bolt treads are different, it was so interesting seeing how the first ones were made, really like a prototype.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
28/29/30/31 are my favorite year A's, but since I have three 30's and one 31 I guess I'll have to go with 30/31. I really like the look of the 28/29's though.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like the 31 the best and its because of that wonderfully indented and painted upper radiator shell, I also prefer the look of the bottom of the cowl in 30 and 31, but my 29 cabriolet with the Murry body has the smooth lower cowl. However, I like the looks of a 28 or 29 tudor over a 30 or 31. The smaller radiator shell seems to make the whole car look smaller as well. Hey guys, an A is an A and there is nothing that quite competes.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I could be EASILY swayed to a Tudor. Chief & Momma had one for a LOOOONG TIME. It was an ALL BLACK '29 with BLACWALL 16's. I liked the LOOONG back side windows, I'd tell Chief, "This is my window to the WORLD"!!--Of course, my Dog, Bulger wuz at the OTHER window!
He'd change to 21s in the WINTER, they did better on them danged MUDDY roads, I HATE MUD! Bill Reminscing

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I have a 28 and a 30. I probably like the 31 radiator shell a little better, but I love both of my cars. Like your children. You love each one the best.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
For me its the coupe pillar and 21'' wheels..when they couldn't build them fast enough.Shit hit the fan by 1930,the stovebolt cut into them and forced the V8...'30 and '31 were transition, stop gap years..

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
The 1927 are unique . I didn't realize that until I acquire a February 1928 Tudor . Then went through the judging standards and was suprised at the similarly that my car has to the 1927s .When the car is shown many model A owners state they have never seen the early features.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I like the 27's and the 32's because I like to argue with people that think model A's weren't made in these years.

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
I always admired the 28 and 29 Special coupe. I enjoy the headroom in my 29. The 30 coupe I had had less headroom by around 2 inches.
P.S. I notice it because I'm 6 ft. 3in. Last edited by Barry B./ Ma.; 09-03-2017 at 10:02 AM. Reason: added P.S. |

Re: What's your favorite year and why?
My Dad had several before his passing, but I'm partial to the '28's for the simplicity of the car, plus the red steering wheel. It is interesting to me to compare it to the later models.
