Default Metal trim piece

I am installing the interior on my 1929 Tudor sedan and the instructions say to put the front windlace under a "metal finish strip" which is fastened to the front body pillar by rivets. Does anyone know what this piece is called and would you have any? 2 are needed, one for each side. Thanks, Bob.

I don't know if it's reproduced, but you might try Bert's in Denver for a pair of original trim strips. I guess they might be called windlace retainers.

MAC'S shows the windlace retainers holds windlace in vertical position along the cowl pillar. part # A46128 @ 18.95/ea.

As stated above the 2 peices are refered to as A-45363 Retainer (Coupe pillar windlace)...there should be plenty of these strips around as they fit more than 1 body style.

Also, is there a thin strip of cardboard on the Windlace Assembly? If not there should be as this helps in the placement of both the retainer and the windlace.

Thank you all for your input. I browsed the catalog but couldn't seem to find them without your help! Thanks, Bob.

BTW I checked Mac's and the piece that they sell is a straight piece that needs to be drilled and bent to conform to the door jam. In case anyone is interested.

When I first did my 29 coupe I used the aluminum strip from the repro aluminum rain gutter, I bent it and cut it to fit.
