Post war 1931 Roadster Hot Rod
City:
Vernon B.C.
State:
Canada
Price:
25000
Not eager to sell it but my budget has a brick wall and may look at selling. This 1931 Roadster is built on a 32 frame that is period correct... in every way. The Rolling chassis came from a car built in vancouver B.C. in 1958. that includes everything from the front bumper and rad, back to the rear bumper and all parts in between. The motor is a 46 stock flathead, 39 tranny, open shaft to a 54 Merc rear end. The rear end has brackets fabricated for the installation of fenders should one choose. The frame was kicked up by the builder in 1958 and boxed. The original 1958 Blackie Green axle (Vancouver Hot Rod builder and vendor) still rolls it down the road straight as an arrow. The Body is a true Henry 31 Roadster and rust free. The paint has been aged and blemished to resemble the contiditon of the original car (the original body was a 32 roadster). The front backing plates were chromed in 1956 and taken from a 41 ford owned by the original builder and the chrome reflects 50 years of service. The wheels are 1946 Ford with Diamond back radials. The electrical was converted to 12 volt with a new electronic converted crab distributor. All signals, lights and horn work and the dash is fully wired. The dash is a 1941 ford with a 41 Mercury speed cluster. The striping was done very similar to the early striping that was on the original car. The colours are a match to the original stripes that remain on the headlights from the original car. The 32 grill and shell is an original, not a repop. The price is $25000 and I will look at pre 1950 ford or Mercury projects (running and rolling, no baskets please) as part trade. The purchaser will receive all photo documentation of this car and its historical information. Here's some of the pix... my email is [email protected]
