Re: Radioactive Spark Plugs!
There's some information here: http://www.blackcatsystems.com/science/radprod.html about those. Not a lot of detail, and I'm not sure why they thought it was going to help the spark bridge a larger gap... but "radioactive" was a buzz word much overused back in the day, much like "antioxidant" today

Re: Radioactive Spark Plugs!
I have some of those of various sizes, they stay in the boxes because the ceramic is a pink-purplish color that clashes with Ford Green...
However I have one in a recently acquired engine that runs fine; it has a different spark plug in every cylinder (which I don't recommend) but they all seem to be in the correct heat range. |

Pink? Interesting; I recall the only pink plugs I have seem were "Lodge".

I have a box of these that are T-30, The thread dia. looks about 3/8". I think they fit a 216 c.i. chevy. Does yours have a date on the inside of the top? Mine has Oct.23 1941. I had forgot I even had them. Thanks for reminding me. "COOL"

Re: Radioactive Spark Plugs!
they were specialy made for the Universal "ATOMIC FOUR ENGINE" popular for sailboat auxiliary power for forty years. ;-)
http://pearsonvanguard.homestead.com/files/atomic4.htm The Atomic Four really took Champion RJ12C's. |

Re: Radioactive Spark Plugs!
I bought a box of those many years ago and have run them in my Coupe ever since. I really didn't believe the advertising. It would be interesting to check them out.
