55 f100 239
Anyone know a source for the fuel pump eccentric counterweight or spacer? I don't have either one. Or, could I just get a washer the correct thickness, and file a slot for the keyway? A simple repair on the surface has turned out to be a nightmare. Thanks

Re: 55 f100 239
Are they same as the 256-312 version part?
I've seen one recently on epay but it included the eccentric & bolt and the price was high. Is there an engine/machine shop near you that may have a dusty leftover one on the back of a shelf? Last edited by dmsfrr; 03-25-2019 at 10:30 AM. Reason: add photo |

Re: 55 f100 239
if you plan on using the washer as the eccentric it probably will not work.not knowing your skill level it is called eccentric for a reason if not right pump may not work at least.as dmsfr said above might search the bay.an old time machine shop may have one laying around from the day long shot.50 years ago probably could have gone to your local wreckers pulled one off.pretty sure they were same on all y blocks.the pic that was posted above sure looks like the pieces you need

Re: 55 f100 239
IIRC... the counterweight was used for a couple years and discontinued in favor of a keyed round spacer/washer the same thickness.
--- EDIT --- I took this spacer out to swap in the decorated counterweight (previous photo) in my 292. The ID measures a hair over 1 inch, the OD is 1 & 7/16, and the thickness is 1/8th, near as I can tell. The notch for the key is 3/16 x 1/16. tommyleea If you want this one you can have it, just private message me your address. Last edited by dmsfrr; 03-25-2019 at 10:32 AM. Reason: measurement typo |

Re: 55 f100 239
I know it is getting confusing. I don't have any keyed spacers. There should be one on each side of the fuel pump eccentric. If you could send me your keyed spacer that will work. Thanks...

Re: 55 f100 239
the front one is not keyed its a spacer about.290 thick.do you have that piece.you just put it over the end of the cam its larger than the cam and you keep it centered while you tighten the bolt with the washer.maybe someone can put a picture of the whole thing on here.do you happen to have a shop manuel

Maybe with the back spacer installed, the woodruff key isn't protruding at the front, so the spacer wouldn't have to be keyed? Last edited by tommyleea; 03-27-2019 at 10:16 AM. Reason: add info |
