Default fuel cutoff valve

My 1930 Model A Tudor has been sitting in the heated garage all winter. Since I got it out about a month ago I have started it right off the first try without touching the choke. What gives there? I'm not complaining but the first time it was by accident but the other time I went out to the car and noticed I had left the cut off valve opened so I purposely cranked it over without using the choke and it popped right off. And to think I was thinking about selling it. Anyone else ever had that happen? Just curious. Jim
