Default Installing Tire Bands and Face Plates

Sponsored Links (Register now to hide all advertisements)
I am looking to install stainless tire bands and face plates on my 68C, but do not want to scratch the face plates or the fender in the process of installing these. I spoke with a friend who has these on his A400, and he suggested that it would be best to involve a second pair of hands and perhaps even loosen the sidemount bracket in order to achieve a maximum flexibility. Can anyone offer any guidance on how best to proceed on these? My thanks for any and all guidance and recommendations.
