I am a slow reader but I will get through them when I get through with them.
A really good read.

Another of my favorite books is, ''The Ford Shows" by Lorin Sorensen
It's a leather hard bound book with wonderful pictures of the Ford shows, world fairs,etc..

A book that I read years ago, and really sticks in my mind is titled 'The Flivver King'.

The Whiz Kids by John A Byrne is a really great Ford book. Henry by Walter Hayes is a good biography of Henry Ford II. Ford the Decline and Rebirth 1933-1962 Nevins and Hill. I have all of Henry Dominguezs books on Ford dealerships.The Ford Dealer Story 1903-1953 does a nice job of telling how Ford and it's dealers helped build this country.I have books like Ford Treasury of Station Wagon Living,ect. that may not be worth much but I think are neat.

I have a complete set of Ford Life with the binders. My wife worked for Lorin Sorensen and typed many of those Ford Life magazines. There's a lot of great information in those magazines. You see them come up for sale periodically on e-Bay and on the V-8 Club website. If you don't have them they should be on your list of magazines to add to your Ford information.

Won this book as a Door Prize at an Early Ford V-8 National Meet during the summer. It is pretty good with great images.

I did find one mistake--the 1939 portion claims that 1939 is the first year for under-hood battery placement. If true, that would be a big surprise to 1937 and 1938 owners.

Pretty good book. Glad to have it. I recommend it.

I was lucky enough to come across a signed, numbered set of the Fordiana books by Lorin Sorensen a couple of years ago. Some great reading and period photos.

The best books in my collection are by the late Lorin Sorensen. They have become hard to find, but are treasures when it comes to text and pictures of Ford history. He was a student of Ford culture, and a very nice man. He put a personal note in many of my editions.

The Ford Trilogy by Allan Nevins is one of the best sources of Ford history ever written. Nevins was a biographer of the first order (look him up on Wikipedia), the Trilogy being one of his finest works. Hardback editions, not reprinted. Available today from rare book dealers and collectors. See post 21 on this thread by Bill Wzorak.

Here is a book that I have just added to my Library. The Title of this book is a little misleading, as it does not major on the 1940 Fords, nor Hot Rods. Because of this, it may have been overlooked? In fact, because of the title & cover picture, I think that it has slipped under the radar.
This Hardcover Book is chock full of original black and white photos of early Ford v8's from 1932 up to the 1940 models. Also included are the Lincoln Zephyrs and Mercurys. It also has Chapters on British and European Fords.
This Book is a fantastic book for the Early Ford V8 enthusiast and is well worth reading. However, what makes this book extra special are the great photos.
It is still available and I highly recommend adding to your Library.

I really like the technical especially original Ford, Heyer, K R Wilson... about the only novel is "The Public Image of Henry Ford" by Lewis.
I have several Ford anniversary books, "30 years of Progress" is the earliest anniversary book I am aware of.

Wow. Look at these. What a haul!

I recently purchased them from a V-8 Club member.

The 1903-1970 Ford book is a First Edition from 1970.

The Lincoln-Mercury book is a First Edition from 1971.

Both in excellent condition and includes publisher's ad.

The American Ford by Lorin Sorensen is big and awesome
and is another First Edition in excellent condition.

They went to the right home.

Just got done with "The Fords in My Past" by Harold L Brock. He worked at Ford from 1929 to 1959 and worked with Henry, Edsel, and Henry II. Helped design the 9N tractor. After he left Ford he went to John Deere and was the chief engineer on the 4020. Lived to be 96 I think and very engaged about what was going on in the industry right to the end. Bought a used copy and it was less than $5 shipped to my doorstep!
