Re: Daytona Turkey Run...
Alice & I will be at the Gaslight Parade, riding with one of our Florida friends in his Model A.
Look for the couple that are both 5'11" and have long white hair. We'll also be at the Ormond car show Saturday morning long enough to see what's new there.

Re: Daytona Turkey Run...
Will there be a swap meet at the Ormond Show? They had some pretty good ones back in the late 60's.

Re: Daytona Turkey Run...
the swap meet was still good into the mid-80s at the Ormond Airport, but the Turkey Run grew so big that all the vendors went over to the speedway........

Re: Daytona Turkey Run...
Chris in WNC,
Yeah, I beleive the last one I went to was in the early 80's at the airport. About 10 years ago I went to the "Turkey" rod run and what an appropriate name for a meet! What a waste of time........ Bob-A |

Re: Daytona Turkey Run...
The gas light parade is this coming Friday night...the local aaca is Saturday. The turkey show is this week to.
I am currently on vacation in Ormond Beach on A1A, the parade goes right by here. I rented a crown vic with white wigs in the glove box, we wear them when we go out "cruising" because at 39 years old, we are not blu-haired yet! LOL Who buying dinner...I am! |

I had a litle incident, Saturday night, which caused me to miss the Turkey Run, today. I, probably, will not make it tomorrow, either. I can't say, about the AACA Parade & Car Show, either. If I do make it, you are sure welcome to ride with me. MIKE |
