Those Checkers Taxis are a very unusual vehicle. Notice that the back portion is open?
I also noticed that most of the Chrysler product Taxis were "smokers". Quite a few of the very rare 1942 DeSoto's with the "hidden" headlights are seen in this video. Great to watch. Thanks for Posting.

Ford's Willow Run bomber plant produced over 8000 B24 Liberator bombers during the war years. Not to forget the Ford trucks my dad learned to drive on in WWII.

Packard was building engines for the P-51 and for PT boats and Studebaker was making B-17 engines.
