Default Leather weaver/bull whip makers??

Any one here on the barn know anyone or can suggest anyone to weave some leather door pulls for me, maybe a bull whip maker or specialty leather person that does purses or vest......maybe even a saddle/bridle maker??? Thanks in advance for any tips. An example of what I need to duplicate.

Go to a store that sells western wear and horse supplies such as saddle and blankets. They will know someone in the leather business. Your local Harley shop will also know someone who does leather work.

Be there done that here locally, even to a local specialty leather guy who my dad taught in High School....got a shaking head (No) and a look like i had corn growing out of my ears!!!!!! Plus he could of cared less that I even walked through the door. I am supposed to have a young kid here locally that is a rodeo rider that weaves his own whips but have not gotten any response to my call.

You could email this place a picture, at least they could tell you if it's doable.

You could do a youtube search for "Leather Braiding" and make it yourself.
It looks complicated.

You might want to try hotrodleather.com. Eric, the owner, was sick a while back but should be up and running again. Interesting idea, though - I like it!

Plenty of info via an Ebay search of "Bruce Grant" he has written many books about western leather braiding. It's easy to do but pretty tedious work, just the kind of thing nobody want to do except for the person that wants it done. Perfect winter fireside craftwork.

Thanks all for you're input, especially Petehoovie.....I think some time we get paralysis of analysis and don't see the forest for the trees. To think it SO simple.

In particular here is an interior shot that shows the pulls. Note there are three, the seat back, the door handles (barely visible) and grab handle on the quarter. As you will notice for the front seat occupants, the seat placement is such that they are necessary to open the doors, the handles are so far back they are near impossible to reach without having the "pulls", or you have to be quite the contortionist.
