Default Roadster Belt Rail

I am restoring a 1931 std. Roadster. When I disassembled it, the belt rail that the top tacks to appeared to be a composition material sheathed in thin metal. Are these reproduced or do you just use the wooden one offered by the vendors?

That metal band is what was correct, and as I recall, it was stuffed with a leather-type material. The benefit of this type tack rail is that it is one piece which greatly enhances the rigidity of the body in the door latch area over the 3-piece wood trim which the vendors sell.
