Default Tudor front seat questions

I'm looking in my books but can't really find anything on the Tudor seats. I'm working on a 1928, but all Tudor info would be handy.

A few questions I have, hopefully someone can answer.

1. What's the difference in the pivot frame between the years

2. What's the difference in the mounting pivot brackets and the floor stop between the years.

PLEASE if you have them post pictures with your answer.

I've seen either the bar or the cups on the rear bottom of the seat. But I don't know what years use what.

Bar:

Cups:

I think the bar was early 28's. Check the RG&JS to be sure. I don't think the pivots changed at least through 29 and maybe even 30/31. However the inside of the seat rear hinge that the back attaches to did go through some changes. Sorry I don't have any pictures. I just had my early 29 Tudor seats re done and mine have the cups. I will say that the bolts with the oval slotted screw head can be difficult to get out. One of mine broke off in the hinge piece and so I was able to find a similar but flat head with a Phillips head bolt to replace it. The vendors don't carry that bolt.

I thumbed through the Judging guide and didn't seat any detailed pictures or any mention about it.

The bar seems to be with one's that claim to be original 1928 (early 1929). But the pivots in the seat and floor have me confused.

One of my seats have a bar and the later pivot setup and the other someone mounted some more modern seat tracks. So either I find cups for both seats or a bar for the one that's missing.

Anyone with a 1928 Tudor have some pictures of their seats, seat stops and pivots?

I have the bar, cast seat brackets and stamped pivots .

The picture you posted in #5 above is of my early '29 Tudor seat. All of my brackets are the forged type, not the stamped mounting brackets and rear cups.

For cups and front seat hinge, read page 438 of the service bulletins. I didn’t look for the bar type, but I think they ran out in early 28.

Had a late 28 Canadian tudor, had the bar, not cups.

My bad, in my last post I meant to say early 29.

It looks like almost everything was forged on a '28 . Now I'm on the hunt.
