Default Look what I stumbled across on Google Street View

I was mapping a trip and happened to look at my house on Google Street View. The funny thing is, the car is almost never sitting at home. I think this was when I was doing the upholstery last summer.

I never did see the Google car go by.

It's a shame the mini-van was not away on a shopping spree. Would have made some nice era pix!

Same here,
I was taxying out for a local flight in our 1946 Yellow Piper Cub at Stellenbosch airfield close to Cape Town when I was snapped by a satellite going over head.
That is me in the Cub dead centre of the field taxying out to R/W 01. Google earth pictures have since been updated.
Regards
Chris

I wonder why they thought they needed to blur out the wheels in the first photo?

They must have thought that "Ford" was the name of the owner!

Floats, looks like there are several extra rib stitches on the rudder. You only need a couple for each rib with round "dollar"patches. Check with Clyde Smith in lockhaven.

JR,
I was hoping you wouldn't notice, but now my secret is out. I spoke to Clyde, but it seems they are fresh out and only have the non standard square 'ten dollar' patches in stock.

I was only kidding of course. Clyde does have a special punch for those patches BTW. I am doing a PA-12 Super Cruiser now and then a PA-11. After that, trying to resurrect a Chipmunk. I still have three Model A projects and a 39 Ford pickup to finish. Running out of runway here. Trying to complete some of these before I croak out and leave my poor wife with a hangar full of junk (treasure). I am going to Oshkosh. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know.

during the NWRG meet in Pendleton, I stopped at my sisters house in Portland with my sedan. For a few years after, a satellite view of her street had my Model A on it. It was only there for about 6 hours.

TKS JR,
Tks for the offer, I am sorted but will keep it in mind. Was hoping to do my first visit to OSH this year, but maybe next time.
Enjoy Oshkosh.
Regards
Chris

the must update a lot, as you move down my street, the cars in the driveway change every 10 feet or so. In some, its not even my car in the driveway

I never understood the need to photograph and record every square inch of everything.

Privacy? In Google Street View, they have our bedroom window in their picture. Their camera is mounted higher than any person would normally be looking from. I am just glad that the wife and I weren't doing anything passionate in the bedroom at the time. I have used Google earth to find model A's in people back yards. No privacy anymore. Times are changing. The National Security Administration is even reading all of our emails. Watch out what you type.

Yep, I've heard about big brother spying on us, but this sure came quicker and more complely than I'd have ever guessed. The fact that anyone can see everything you have in the backyard is just the tool to help thieves find what they want.

Years ago you could see my 47 coupe and 26 T in the driveway on the satellite photo.

They got me in the back yard washing my old Pontiac, oddly enough, it is also parked in front of the house.
They also got a friend of mine on his garden tractor mowing his property.
