Default head bolt/nut washers

I have read to make sure to use hardened washers under the head bolts especially with aftermarket aluminum heads.
Are the washers that the old Ford parts stores sell hardened, stainless, chrome?
I want something that will look good on a polished head...If they are just hardened steel won't they rust or are they zinc coated?

Recommendations? The ones that came with my engine seem to be cheap regular washers.

NAPA has hardened 7/16 washers that will look fine.
