Default OT--New Garage Project for Christmas

Apologies in advance if this is prohibited, but I thought some of you might find this interesting/amusing. Every December, my teenage son and his girlfriend design, bake and build a gingerbread house from scratch. He's an architecture student and she's an art student, so they're pretty creative. This year's effort is a mid-century modern, that has a garage with rooftop deck. (Pardon the Chevy coming out of the garage; we didn't have a suitably sized EFV8)

I've had a few people ask that. The decorations are the only really edible part. Given that the gingerbread is meant to have the structural properties of plywood, it's baked to the consistency of, well, plywood.

I did eat a few extra panels of the Hershey bar garage door.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Our grandchildren have been doing Gingerbread Houses for the last several years, but not from scratch. They get kits with cookie panels already made, and put those together. Then add the decorations. Still pretty cool Christmas time projects. Our 3 year old twin granddaughters made one this year, but they ate more of decorations than they put on the house .
