timothy. The book that tells of ford family as sole owners at this time during 1914 is WHEELS FOR THE WORLD by Douglas Brinkley printed 2003. Book covers ford from birth till 2003. Page 280. 1914 earned $119 million after taxes.by one estimate, the ford fortune increased by $400,000 per day. In 1919 min day pay was $6.00. John Prentis offered Ford $1 billion three times between 1919 and 1922. Ford replied no "We are having to much fun".
