Default Band Ears

I can not get the band ears on after putting the band in. I started the band on the right side. I have seen two different styles of band ears. Some bands have a round rivet type stud to attach the band ears to.
My bands have two long metal tangs on the bands and the ears have long slots in them that go over the long tangs. Once the band is around the drum I can not get enough band on the left side to attach the ears.
I have some of the other bands but do not have any ears for them.
I have only removed the brake and low speed band. Would I need to remove the reverse band to get these ears on??

I had the same problem when I tried usign those and had to pull the hogs head to get them on. The one's with the round rivet you can get on but because you already have your bands riveted to these I would just pull the hogs head and put them on that way.
Removing the reverse band won't help you get the ear on.

Could you post a photo of the cause of interference? those bands were made to work so maybe we could see what is going on.

The hogshead is a pain to get sealed when you go back together. I use plenty of rtv sealer on one side and let it get tacky- mushy. and I use gun grease on the other. Ive always just gone ahead an pulled the hogs head, it takes a little longer but less chance of dropping things. Just my thoughts, Monte
