Another pioneer of the hobby is gone. Harold was a great guy with a grand sense of humor. He did a lot for the old Ford hobby.

Re: Sad News: Harold Looney passed.
He used to come up to the Portland Swap Meet to vend and he would always stop and talk with the owner of our booth as they were friends and that is how I met him. It has been many years since I saw him but I always enjoyed talking with him. Was a real nice guy, too bad we lost another of the people who supported this hobby. What about wild man Bill Norton, did he pass away? I talked to him on the phone when he was in Texas years ago but heard he came back to LA at some point. When he had a booth at Portland it was always very entertaining to stop by and chat with him.

Bill passed away 2 yrs ago.Bill and Harold were best friends. Helped each other out with their antique parts businesses. Harold always used the phrase help the poor man out when buying parts from him. He was fun.

Re: Sad News: Harold Looney passed.
Karl, thanks for letting people know that Harold had passed away. Yes, true he was a pioneer in manufacturing reproduction model T, A, and V-8 parts. We would not be able to enjoy our hobby as we know it without Harold's involvement, and parts. A true gentleman. With his friends Bill Norton, and Lynn Williams (AKA: C W Moss) they made it fun.

I bought my ‘36 from Lynn. I only meet Harold after his son was running C.W Moss, but was a super nice guy.
