Default front fender height ?

My wide bed pickup July 1931 driver side front fender when measured from floor to the fender brace bolt is 11/2 inches lower than the other . This is with the frame level from left to right. Any suggestions on how to correct this?Lower right or raise the left? The braces are stamped steel. Maybe bend one of the braces.

Remember you have a headlight bar connecting the two front braces. You may have to bend both to get them equidistant to the floor (one up a bit, the other down a bit)

Simply put, bolt EVERYTHING together & "tweek" as necessary, to get its' FACE RIGHT!!! Frame MUST be LEVELED, first.

1. Check front spring and shocks first..

2. Take both front fender braces off, support the fenders with some 2 x 4s; and
check both for size and shape.

3. Maybe swap both front braces and see what happens..

if a spring or shock was at fault the frame would not be level as mentioned by the OP.

You are right. Wonder how he determined "level?"

You start with just the brackets and the head lamp bar.

When you get those fitting together right you put the fenders on along with running boards that set properly.
You place the fender along the frame edge properly with the headlamp bar in place then work the fenders until they meet at the running board and are even in the front.

You will need to make the bead be striaght and verticle from the bolt back to the running board.

Then they will be right.

If you need more details on what I did (and what I can remember) ask me. I do not know what level of work you plan on doing.
