1931 Victoria, Installing Assisting Straps in Back Seat
I want to add some assist straps in the back seat. The interior is installed in the car. The top of the strap mounts about level with the quarter window with two screws. I have probed in the area with an awl to locate the two wood screws but I keep running into steel brackets. Does anyone have a picture showing the upper pillar area so that I can avoid the steel brackets? I don't want to make a mistake and damage the upholstery. Thank you, Ed

Thank you for the picture. I notice that your strap has two vertical screws and the straps I have use two horizontal screws. Is this why I am hitting metal? What I need is a picture where the upholstery has not been installed yet so I can see what is behind in the body.
Your interior is very nice and the wood graining looks great. My car is a broadcloth which some day I may change out. |

Sorry, the car was already restored when I purchased it. I don't have any pictures of what it looked like when it was apart.
