Default Water Pump

My water pump is leaking ,who makes the Best Leakless pump(for the least money) for my "31 A" . I know this has been hashed out many times .I have a rather new radiator and dont want to get it greased up inside.

I just installed a unit from James Rupert. It looks unmodified once installed. I thought the price was fair and his is delivery time was really quick.

Don't forget to send him back your original. He is hungry for cores.

You know of all of my projects rebuilding a water pump was probably one of the easiest. Parts will run you about 50 bucks and the satisfaction is priceless. If you choose to go the other route. Mike's Afordable Parts has a nice unit.

"Leakless" Rupert would be my choice without question. I have had one of his pumps on every Model A I have owned. His fee is higher than most, but he does quality work and he stands behind it.

Run one from Mikes for 5 years. Haven't thought about it once! If you order any pump, ask the seller to pre-fit a fan onto the pump. I did get one where the builder had miss-reamed out the front hole and the fan rubbed the housing.

I find that the best leakless pump for the least money is to rebuild the stock pump!I just use the std pump shaft rather than the SS one & I like the rear bushing with the seal in it.

I rebuilt mine exactly as original and it hasn't leaked a drop in 10 years. But all future rebuilds will have the rear bushing with a seal on the rear end to keep grease from getting into the coolant.
