Default 1930 Cabriolet rumble seat stop rubber

Here is a picture of the rumble seat rubber on the lower bracket. It only hits on a tiny bit on the top edge, so I was thinking it needs to be trimmed so the rubber hits on the back of the seat metal edge and so the seat goes back about an inch more?

Also is the rubber angle facing the right direction?

Thanks

Does your deck lid surface line up when closed? Looks like it might need to be adjusted up a bit at the hinges. You could try rotating the rubber 180*

The lid does fit and shut perfect. I think it is the aftermarket rubber being a bit big or I have installed it incorrectly?

I have an incorrect floor tray piece. A forum member suggested removing the rubber and drilling holes a bit lower and this fixed the stop just fine for now. To do it right I will need to get a new or original floor with a curved starting point and counter-sunk bolt holes.

Thanks all.

I believe there were 28-29 styles and 30-31 style brackets. One was taller than the other.

You might need the other type.

The guys at Ford and More should know.

the 29 through 31 68 A-B&C all used the same rumble stops as the 28-29 coupe`s the roadsters and 30-31 coupe were taller.

Thanks all. I have them working fine now and they are the correct original brackets for the car. It is my floor that is wrong and it should be curved. That replacement project will be for another day.
