Steelback Victoria
I need some help.
There are some that are looking up this info but I thought I open it up to as many as I can. Three things (for now) 1) The rear belt rail wood. The notches where the tire brace bolts on. Are the notches on the sheet metal side or interior side? Are they just for the nuts. We made this piece from scratch. Pictures would be great!!! 2) The clip for the rear seat, How does that mount. Also pictures would be of great help. 3) The front seats. My son has a late 190A should have the driver seat with a slide. What do the floor boards look like? three pieces of wood? Two pieced of wood and a piece of metal? He has all the parts for both of the front seats. We need measurements on exactly where the seats mount to the floor and the seat parts that mount to the seat wood. Thank you in advance.

Mike & Frank
I can't help with the floor boards as mine has the early style seats. The rear tire bracket bolts go thru the belt rail from the front. The seat catch is shown in the photos. The male piece attaches to the seat back in a "cut-out" in the seat frame. If you need more, just holler... Vern Last edited by Vern; 05-30-2020 at 08:09 PM. |

Mike
here is some pictures of my A400 seat & wood arrangement it is the same as my Victoria. the sub frame have two wood rail and a filler panel in the middle. on the drivers seat there is an outrigger that bolts to the front of your drop floor pan it should have a bracket riveted to it that is where the inside rail go's. on the passenger seat I went from the center of the body mounting bolt to the center of the bracket. I hope that help. remember you have to install the left outter bolts before you install the body all other bolts you can install after the body is on. |

Re: Steelback Victoria
These pictures are almost like Vern's. You can see the remnants of the seat pull strap on his. Here you can see the intact strap.

Re: Steelback Victoria
Hi David
Can you please tell me what the strap on the back cushion was made of and how it is attached, ie tacked or screwed? Sincerely Richard Morse |

Re: Steelback Victoria
The strap is made from an artificial leather material typical of what was seen in this time period. It is tacked with two tacks that are larger than the upholstery tacks. The edges of the strap are rolled and stitched. I hope this helps.
