Default To ALL Fordor Owners

Due to rattling windows in my Fordor Blindback I want to change the Window Channel Felts.

I read in both Brattons and Snyders they have the FRONT door replacements BUT no REAR. I see Brattons lists it as:

28 - 31 FORDOR FRONT DOOR WINDOW CHANNEL KIT PART #: 31790
What is the consensus of this product: Good, or Bad enough not to bother buying?

What has everyone that did this job do for the REAR door windows?
Also, I have what appears to be different felts with like a piece of wire along the inner and outer edge. Can this be obtained other then Brattons or Snyders as the pictures I see doesn't have the wire?

Not sure about an answer to your question-- BUT remember that they made straight window Fordors in 31 and then switched to slanted. Some parts are not interchangeable between straight and slant. One example is the rubber above the windshield, totally different so make sure you are getting what is right for your car.

THANKS Brian SATX I do understand that. I have a Briggs which is straight. I have never seen a designation like you said "made starlight window".
Thanks for the response.

Cape Codder,
Snyder's lists rear window channel kits, A-56791-A. I used them on my Town Sedan just this Spring.

Cape Codder, I did all the windows in my '30 Town Sedan recently. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/w...it-front-doors

While I had it apart I also installed Dyna-Mat inside the doors. No more tinny sound.

Also replace the Upper Door Seals if needed. I replaced all four of mine while it was apart. The rubber on mine was old and hard and the glass vibrated against it. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/u...or-seal-4-door

Lastly I didn't want to hammer nails thru the material on the door panels to reinstall. I used Gorilla Tape to stick them to the door. Worked better than I thought it would. https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-60550...s=gorilla+tape

THANKS to: Brian SATX for straighting (no pun intended) me out on the window statment. For the life of me you had me thinking I didn't know the name of a part on the "A".

Also to Ed & jak who seems to be a relatively NEW guy to fordbarn (WELCOME) for coming up with the correct numbers. I had researched that in the catalog and found them and went back to order (should have done it the first time) and COULD NOT FIND those numbers. HONEST!

Lastly, thanks to Y-blockhead for the numbers also. I am very interested in your idea of the Gorilla Tape. My only question would be how hard will it be to take off if needed?

A question to all that have used these parts: What did you think of the product and where they worth the price? I read in one of the descriptions where the top piece is foam rubber? Is that how they were in the day?

Again, thanks to ALL!

Good tips. I need to do this. I also have new glass that came with the car that I should either dispose of or install. I have the laminated glass in the doors. Not good in case you need to escape through the window in case of an accident.
