Default Electronic ignition on a 47 flathead 6

Does anyone run an electronic ignition in their flathead 6? I have the 47 G series and as I was ordering parts, the guy suggested I may want to look into an electronic ignition.

Check w/Bubba's Ignition Service here on the 'Barn - he will know if there is a conversion for your setup.

No problem on the conversion , however it has got to be 12 volts.
The six volt thresh-hold are too low to work well....
Does it use the two bolt crab unit on motor side ????

Check lumenition. I have used these on everything from Jaguar to Porsche. The are optical triggers and are pretty bullet proof.Because they are all internal the stock appearance is not changed. I'm sure you can find one that will fit your application and they are not too expensive.

There may be a problem with the distr cap.....those 46-47 G series motors used an unusual cap that is no longer available. Unless a different cap/rotor can be fitted, I wonder how this would be completed.
