Default '33 hood latch catch

Does anybody have the dimensions of the cowl mounted angle shaped hood catches on a '33. Or know of a source for a pair.

I just measured mine - take a piece of about .085 thick steel - whatever gauge that is - 1 1/8 inches wide and 2 3/8 long and make a bend to about 52 degrees 1 1/2 inches from one end. The two holes for mounting it are 1/2 inch from the bottom of the longer side, and the bend has a radius to it - not a real sharp bend. Maybe bend it around a 1/8 inch rod.
They are rivited on, but bolts would work if you can get at the back side.
You might have to try it a few times to get the hood to catch right.

Thanks Jim, sounds like a plan. I'm plan on using riv-nuts and button head screws.
