Default LHD and RHD steering box

Have a very good LHD steering box here.

Can most or any of the innards be transferred to a RHD steering box case ?

Hi Pooch,
The short answer is NO, exept maybe for the bearing and bushes.
The casing, sector and worm are left or right handed.

Whether 2 tooth or 7 tooth, the worm and sector are also different. You can use the shaft, throttle and timing levers and pitman arm but that's about it. Even the fittings on the bottom of the hand throttle lever is different. I've had a couple of good ones too, including one of those F100 ones. I finally had to just about give it away because nobody wanted it (including me).
Oh, and you can use the steering wheel nut!

You'd throw away a steering box? Why not give it to someone with a LHD?

HA HA, anyone who had a LHD here would want me to deliver it giftwrapped for free .

It will be loaded this week for the tip.

All my LHD stuff is going the same way as I clean up.

If anyone with a LHD reads this and wants to come get it , it is free, along with some other A bits.

Have steering arms/ tie rod/ spark rod mech etc

Funny, I said the same in the V8 site about some mint 35 brakes/backing plates/linings that I could not get $20 for and I was going to dump.

Had a dude from NZ , say I would give you $20 for them..... yeh sure,.. prob wants me to pay postage too..

As I am cleaning shit out , I am getting a bit tired of timewasters, asking me many questions, then asking for a post cost and then just never getting back.

I’d love some RHD stuff, you might be a bit far from me. Maybe you can take it to Murray bridge or if you are holidaying to where the weather is perfect!
