Default 30 TS Rear Seat / What Locates It ?

I need opinions on how the rear bottom seat of my 30 TS is supposed to be held in place . I am pretty sure it is the original seat , because of the way everything looked as far as the front and rear seats matched in ageing . It has what I call the locating pins that I thought went into the seat frame to hold it in place , but the seat frame does not have any holes for them .It appears the seat must sit 3" in front of the pins , because it is 45" wide at the front and hits the side braces, which are 42 3/4" apart , of the body, if pushed back for the wood frame to line up with the pins, if there were holes in the seat frame . I thought the seat front should be flush with the lower section of the floor . Hope this makes some sense the way I described it .

Those pins usually go into holes in the wood seat frame. Your description is a little hard to understand.

"It has what I call the locating pins that I thought went into the seat frame to hold it in place" CORRECT......
No idea why the seat frame does not have corresponding holes.
