Victoria rear valance
Curiosity has hit!
The information I have read states that the MAFCA judging stds calls for a black rear valance. The info archived by the Victoria Club cuts more to the middle of the road between body color and black. While stripping my body I have sanded the layers to denote the original paint details. I have found the reveals painted upper body color and the valance body color. The picture from L-R shows bare metal, typ ford primer, green lacquer, sand color primer, green enamel, and black primer. Q: Is there any historical info to support the color of the valance? Seems like the physical evidence leaves it open for individual interpertation. My car is an early 31, maybe there was a production change? Or maybe the color scheme was plant specific. Q: Now I'm not building a show car, but curious why are MAFCA stds so specific when it seems there is physical evidence to support both colors?
