Although I'm new to the hobby it seems for water pumps there is nothing better than to have rebuilts by Skip, email him at [email protected] or phone at 941 637 6698 Something rings a bell that he only goes back to '32 but check with him

Send YOUR pumps to Skip Haney to be re-built! Far better than new, Third World offshore, crap-shoot pumps. DD

Talk to Skip about it. He's very easy to work with. He may work a swap with your cores. No matter, his turn-around is smokin'-fast, and the end product is incomparable, with a lifetime guarantee, to boot! DD

When I visited Skip last year, he said he normally works on water pumps at a garage in Punta Gorda until around noon. That would most likely be the day number given above. Then he heads home for lunch. After lunch he works at his shop at home rebuilding coils. This would probably be the night number. Not sure how many days per week he works this routine.

Older style pumps with bushings are more reliable and will last
3 or 4 times longer then 32 to 48 pumps with bearings. G.M.

GM - could you clarify this? I'm reading it as older is better than 32 to 48? Are there pumps this style older than that?

I would have thought that the time frame 32 to 48 is older but I don't know much about this yet so I'm trying to learn.

How about a "wanted ad". There should be a lot of them around.

I believe what he's trying to get across is that the older, original-type design with bushings (which Skip re-builds) will outlast the NEWER-design aftermarket REPLACEMENT pumps which will likely have bearings. DD

Dennis Carpenter has them for $125 a pair. These are new pumps manufactured by them. I have used his pumps and they worked perfect.

All 53's have bearing pumps. Why don't you just send your pumps
to Skip and have them rebuilt ?? G.M.
