Noise goes up and down with engine speed, not louder. Exhaust manifold new and no signs of leaking. I may run it some more and see if the noise changes. Then tighten the clearance down a little if nothing changes. I'm wondering about the cam and oil pump dist. gear.

The way I always fix this type of noise is to take out my hearing aids, then follow Glenn's advice.
