Default E-brake pall pic

Hi guys, pulled the old worn out e-brake pall. Here is a pic. This is the good side, as the tooth is worn down on the other side and won't hold in the ratchet. I want to order one from Macs Ford but they are saying that pall goes to a 1929-31 car. Mine is a 1928. The part # in their catalog on page 23 is A2786C the second picture on the right in the pall photo line up. the one they say fits my car isn't even close, part # A2786B. Did someone at some point replace the pall and brake handle out to a 29? The handle is a pistol grip and the ratchet is a 28 but this pall fits onto the bottom of the handle and seems to work in the ratchet, even though the Macs catalog shows a different ratchet on page 23 that their pall that matches mine, fits. Confused yet? I am...LOL!

If you get the correct pawl for a 28, it will work correctly. I had the same problem. New pawl and the problem went away!
