Does anybody have plans for plank floorboards that were used in the early 28's?

I'm making 2 sets of floorboards, for my 28 Phaeton and my 29 Tudor. The boards vary in width from one board to the next. Not only do the boards vary in width, but the same board can vary from one end to the other. I'm copying a set of original boards, which are Maple. The Ford blueprints call for "NO THROUGH KNOTS, AND NO EDGE KNOTS". That's what the prints call for, but it wasn't always followed, because I have seen a couple of through knots.

I bought some nice Maple boards from Menards. Finding the exact router bit to make the correct tongue and groove took some searching. I finally found the router bit at a used tool store.

Tom, if you get a chance, could you please post a sketch of the router bit profile cut in the edge of a board with rough dimensions and orientation? I was planning to grind my own bit but I will keep searching since they are out there. Thanks muchly.

So the planks were fitted together tongue and groove fashion? Is there a set number of planks? I estimate the thickness is 3/4". Bratton's sells the support straps and has a diagram in the catalog. Is it accurate?

One of the best sources for router bits I have found is Eagle America. A local cabinet maker got me started with them. Their website is EagleAmerica.com.
