1940 3/4 t axles
There is 1940 rear and front axle for sale no rims locally. It has wide 5 drums so I wonder if it is early.
Is there anything on those to save or would fit a 1/2 ton? Thanks |

Re: 1940 3/4 t axles
old stock car racers used the front hubs/wheels on race cars on the right front for strength. they will fit a 1/2 ton spindle

Re: 1940 3/4 t axles
The snouts from that rear end are cut off to be used with both the right front spindle and both sides of a car rear end to give full floating axles. The hubs would then fit on those snouts. These were highly sought after items for dirt track cars.

To answer the original question, the front hubs and all four backing plates will work on a cor or 1/2 ton.
