Default How do gauges attach to dual bracket?

How do the gauges attach to this dual bracket?

The gauges I’ve seen, do not come apart, and I’m not sure how to anchor the gauge from the rear.

Many small gauges have a "U" shaped bracket over the back that draws the gauge bezel tight against the panel.

Thanks for your response. It turns out the gauge box still has the “U” part in it. I lost track of that box. I don’t recall seeing the bracket when I took the gauge out of the box a couple of weeks ago.
