Re: generater installashin question
I don’t really understand the question.
There’s just the one bolt. Are you talking about fan belt adjustment? The vendors offer a part that helps hold the generator in place. Attaches to one of the timing cover bolts. Helps with the fan belt tension adjustment. |

Re: generater installashin question
I usually use a 3/4 box wrench on the bolt head by the timing cover, and a extension on a 3/4 socket wrench for the nut. The extension being long enough so that the ratchet wrench clears the back of the generator.

Re: generater installashin question
If the bolt runs out of threads before the nut tightens up , I would add a washer . Are you sure that you have the correct nut and bolt that attaches the generator

Do you have an original generator? How about a picture?

Re: generater installashin question
I decide to stop today and may try again tomorrow. Like my 101 year old mother told me I never had any problems with a model a 50 years ago. I told her I loved her !

Re: generater installashin question
I like to use a rod coupling for the nut.
