Default February '30 Pickup Bumper????

Current brackets appear to be the 15 3/4" variety which indicates the later style 2 bar bumper. Holding up the earlier (ends swept back) bumper the ends are very close to the tires. I've read through the judging standards and checked the Service Bulletins and find information about brackets, but hardly anything about bumpers themselves.

Anyone know when Henry ran out of the old style bumpers and switched over to the later ones? I realize bracket could have been changed along the way.
Lots happened in the "fix it up, wear it out, make do or do without" era.

Thanks

These two '30 station wagons appear to have the 28-9 style front bumpers. These factory photos are from pages 174-5 of DeAngelis, The Ford Model A, "As Henry Built It". I could find nothing that addressed whether or not this early style bumper was used on early '30 pickup trucks. Are there any original factory photos of the early '30 pickup with the square cab and a view of the front bumper?

The early 30 that I have with an engine stamped in late February has the 28 - 29 bumper and brackets. I am aware of 2 others with that bumper. I did however see a photo of one (not a factory photo) that had the 30 bumper. This is what makes these early 30 trucks so interesting. Yours looks very original so it is possible that it left the factory with a 30 bumper.
