Default Accelerator pedal Question.

Is the 1935-48 sedan accelerator pedal one and the same part # ?
Or what years are corresponding? TIA.

I can't say for sure, but I put one from a '40 in a '38 and had to do some chiseling in the wood floorboard to get enough travel. But the floors are aftermarket, too. The contour of the firewall is different in that area so I suspect a slightly different bend at the accelerator end.

There are different pedal assys; the bends vary on the pedal side; thought I had a link to some info; but can't find it right now.

The green book shows 1935-48 LHD passenger 8cyl are the same.
Don't know about RHD.

The original production 35-36 pedals were different but the later pedals were the same dimensions and were the replacement 35-48. I don't know about RHD.

Hi Bob,, I have a part number 91A -9725,, from an earlier internet sale advert. Bob, from the Green Book info does it correspond up to and including the 48.?

I had a aussie 1940 RHD accelerator assembly as well as a LHD version,, they are mirror opposites.

The reason for my research, is that trying to get a 1940 assembly is getting harder down here as there are not many 40's around, so if the part was carried over ,, I then can get one out of a local 41-48. thanks..

Hi Andy,,, thanks on the reply also,,, I just replied to a previous post, (Bob), about the actual part number,, but it appears to be 1939 reference.
As mentioned its hard getting 1940 stuff down here, because of very limited supply.. So if the part number was a carry over I can source from other later years..
I have a few 35/36 accelerator assemblies but these have the spoon end on them...
Our assemblies are basically a mirror opposite of the LHD versions..
cheers.

I can't figure out what a right hand assy would look like. Is the pedal on the right? Confusing. I have made assembly's by cutting and bending. The spoons are easy to make from plate and a little rod and a linkage end and you are set. I wish I could offer a pic of what you need.
