Stromburg linkage ball
Has anybody had any experience using the Stromburg linkage bomb ends on the early 97's? Part number 9164-K and are sold by Stromburg and I see them at Summit also. Are the new Stromburg linkage balls slightly larger then the old 97's? If these ends wont work on the early Stromburg's then what end will. I want to make my own gas pedal rod and eliminate the annoying spring loaded rod that stretches when you step on the gas pedal.....Thanks

Re: Stromburg linkage ball
I built my stromberg ball ends up with weld and carefully filed them until they were a 1/4inch round.

Quote:
Cut your own 3/16" rod to length and thread the ends 10-32 with a die. Eliminates the "mush" of the old rod and can also be used on the choke and/or hand throttle as well.
