Default Wichita Swap Meet

The 36th Sunflower Swap Meet is a go. We only have had about 4" of snow with chill factors around -25 degrees. The snow is subsiding but it may be a bit windy tomorrow. By Thursday (set up day) the roads should be relatively clear and by Friday (Swap Meet day 1) the temperature is predicted to be over freezing. Saturday the high is predicted to be 47.

This year is a good example of why we eliminated outside spaces. We just don't want to stand outside in the cold.

Hope to see a couple of you guys there.

I'll be there bright and early Friday morning.

If you see some big doofus wearing a black "Vagabonds" car coat, feel free to say "hello".

Set up day went fine. Most of the vendors made it. The deep snow east of us has caused a few to cancel but more will show up tomorrow morning. Looking forward to a good meet.

The swap meet is history. The snow east of us slowed down those vendors. The local snow caused the car barn to be a little vacant, but there was 2 A's. I missed seeing a lot of people. It was a good buyer turnout. Model A parts were there. Two NOS 28/29 front welled fenders, a stainless AA 30/31 radiator shell and of course a lot of other parts.

I sold enough to pay for my space.

Spent all afternoon going over the vendor list. Only about 20 out of 1050 will be available and I have over 80 on the waiting list. The lottery system works.

Maybe another week of work and I can get back to the garage.
