Other than the different separate rear mounting arrangements, the '32 shift lever housing having provision to attach the hand brake, and some inconsequential differences in the case casting depending on when the '32 case was manufactured, they are identical inside and out.

But isn't the rear mount different?

Could have sworn that's what the first eight words in #2 conveyed.

The clutch release arm changed between 32 and 33, but the arm could be swapped over from one to the other.

Here is a link to a bare gearbox on EBAY. The '32 shift tower has provisions to attach the E brake handle.'33's do not . Post a picture of what you have might be easier .

The rear bearing retainer should be changeable between the two so that the later rear mount can be used. Most of them can be swapped around depending on application. The hardware for the mount needed may have to be used since that stuff might vary with some applications. I didn't have any problem putting a 1932 rear mount on a 1939 transmission to use in an AV8 cross member based on a 1932 K-member. The same early bearing retainer was used for a number of years before it changed.

It's easy to fabricate a mount for an E-brake control assembly. A piece of angle iron whittled down to fit worked well for me. It bolts to the side of the shift tower and is drilled for the E-brake handle & ratchet.

For a 1933, very little change should be necessary. Basically just the rear mount.
