Dash color.
Is there a specific color for the window trim, and entire dash on the 46-48 Fords? It looks silver but I wanted to know if I had to replicate it.

Re: Dash color.
It's a blue-gray metallic. Should be able to match it if you have a sample such as the inside of the glove box door. A good automotive paint store can probably match it and put it in a spray can for you.

Re: Dash color.
The Early V8 Club reference book is sort of helpful. The color codes they provide didn't do anything for my paint house. I just went with a slightly metalic silver grey and am satisfied with the result. Still assembling the car or I would show off with pics.

Re: Dash color.
PPG was able to match up with the codes in the EFV8 club book for my '48. I think I still have a can in my garage with the current code on it. I'll try to look later today!

Re: Dash color.
Thank you all for the help. The previous owner painted everything black. Even though my 47 is going to be a flathead powered hot rod, I do want to keep some of the originality. This will be helpful.

Re: Dash color.
This is the can of paint and it shows the exact code as printed in the EFV8 book, as I previously posted. I wasn't sure if it was current or not!
