Default Floor mat

Who has the best rubber floor mat for a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe? I know they fit 1941-1948. I want to see what people recommend before buying.

Got a '40 mat from Dennis C, fits good. They said they get then from some local mfg, who has been in biz for years. We can assume DC has the later ones also of comparable quality.

I got one for my '47 Super Deluxe Sedan Coupe (a/k/a long door) from Dennis C. and it fit perfect. Include the attached mat backing. Right locations for pedals.

Previous owned installed cheesy plastic carpeting.

Drbrown: Would you confirm that the jute backing was attached and not sent loose and how long ago purchased from Dennis C.

bo8109b: Purchased my DC mat via Joe's Antique Auto in Uxbridge MA August 2016 for about $145. Don't remember if that price included shipping. The backing came attached (adhered) to the rubber mat. It is not true a "jut" material but a dense blend of cotton-type fibers about a half inch thick. You may want to get exact spec's on the backing from manuf.

I bought mine from C&G 10 years and 105,000 miles ago and it still looks like new. Mine came with insulation and still does. Here: https://cgfordparts.com/ufolder/cgca...hnumber=a-4010

I'd recently installed one acquired from Carpenter for a client of mine. I had made a comment to him at the time that it (the mat) was the best fitting mat I'd ever purchased for any year Ford. I was very happy with it.

To reiterate in part what Drbrown had posted, the backing is a heavy cotton material. It is not cut to fit - that's something that must be done on the consumer end.
