Default 1930 Pick-uo Paint Colors

I have the paint guide but find the color samples are too small to visualize on an entire car. I have also looked at Marco's color samples. With paint prices being what they are I want to make a good decision on what color to use.

What I am looking for is good quality photos of 1930 pickup trucks taken in good light of any judging standard approved color other than the Rock Moss Green.

Thanks for any help !

It's impossible to tell what color my PU is in pictures. Some will say it's black, others swear that it has a green hue or maybe even a blue of some sort. The real color is Stone Grey. And the fact that the paint is 20+ years old and sat out in the southern California sun most of that time doesn't help either.

Sorry you were disappointed in the response to your request for CLOSED CAB trucks painted colors OTHER THAN (Henry's favorite) Rock Moss Green. That wording limited the field -- dramatically. Loosen up your parameters and you might get some feedback.
Here are a couple interesting OPEN examples that were at Sharon, WI this summer.

OK Bruce, thanks for the tip. I am looking for good color photos of 30-31 CCPU's and would like the poster to describe the color.

If whatever color you choose doesn't come across quite as you visualized it, you'll learn to love it! It's sorta' like when you paint a room, or produce an UGLY baby! Chief sed I wuz an UGLY BABY, but, hey, LOOK AT ME NOW!!

I cant help you with any pictures. I dont think I'd trust what I saw on a computer, with who-knows-what for lighting either.
For the investment in time and money you are looking at, I believe you ought to invest a few more dollars and attend a show and look at the trucks yourself, find the owner, and get the scoop on the color he used.
Just my 2 cents...and its worth exactly what you paid for it. Good Luck!

Thanks all. The 29 page commercial vehicle thread should be made into a web site unto it's own. Thanks all !
