Torque for oil drain back pipe
I had the oil drain back pipe on the side of the engine off, and I am wondering what is the proper torque for tightening the 2 bolts that hold it on. NormallyI just tighten things good and tight, but seeing the "web" that the bolt goes into, I would think that if I got to strong armed with the bolt, I might pop it out of the block, and that would be really BAD.

Re: Torque for oil drain back pipe
I would just "snug it up". If it leaks, just snug it up some more. Ford never used torque specs. when assembling the Model A originally. Don't overthink this and I think you will be OK, it's just a drain line, it's not running any pressure.

Put a drop or two of permatex on the threads and follow d.'s advice.
