Anyone out there know if any body is making 3/8 -24 square nuts and stamped cages. Roy Nacewicz, sold them, but he has past away.

Check with Michael as he took over Roy's business. Here's a link to caged nut from his website. A call works great as he's one of the few that will actually take the time to talk to customers. https://thirdgenauto.com/product/new...-nut-assembly/

If you are talking about the 'weld in' caged nuts that are available, then just tack welding on a standard nut should serve the same purpose.

Question, what type caged nuts are you speaking of? (weld on or clip in?}

Michael,

One advantage of the original version is that it provides a little bit of wiggle room so that the nut can be moved around slightly making it easier to start the bolt in the nut, especially when attaching rear fenders. Judging from the C&G catalog image and others of the modern version, the nuts are fixed in place with tabs.

With either type it helps if the bolts are like the originals with a slight taper at the threaded end of the bolt.
