Default Out of the barn region or club

Anyone heard of this group? They were active several years ago I think, out of western MA and focused on unrestored or older restorations that were mechanically sound for touring. Not sure how organized they were or if anyone hear knows of this group? Could be fun if they are still around.

Thanks Steve

"Out of the barn region or club"

Is that the name of the club?

Out of the Barn region was a special interest region of MARC. I think it was active for about 10-12 years, mostly at the MARC national meets but think it disbanded in 2012.

Thanks Frank. I was unsure if it was a club "region" or a standalone club and not part of MARC or MAFCA..

Too bad, kind of a cool concept.

The Out of the Barn region of MARC was formed by Wally Franklin in the early 2000's. It focused on original, unrestored, or "beater" cars. They would give out awards at the National Meet, the award of course was a rubber chicken. Wally passed away around 2006 (I believe). I believe the region fell away after a few years.
