Default up date on repaint of 1930 tudor

Hello All
I had Don Turley put a fender well on my lt fender and have fitted the fenders and running boards to thr car i have a little more bodey work to do to the fenders and finish the rear fenders then thay will be ready to paint

Don't forget to make the hole in the body apron for the tire arm grommet. Otherwise, ....Lookin' Good!!

Don said best to wait till fenders are painted and mounted on the frame before drilling hole he made a tool the will mark the spot from the underside to drill the hole that way if anything changed then hole will not be off center

I would have thought that before would have been better? If an error is made I would think it would be easier to weld up and repair if in primer. Painting the metal edge would be easier if the hole it there before painting. Just wondering.
